I had no idea what I was shooting with when these were taken back in Winter 2012 on a trip to Warrnambool to see whales. All I knew was it was Black and White film.
When I processed this roll recently I was expecting to find Kodak Hawkeye and developed it the way I usually would; stand developed in Adonal (usually Rodinal, but same difference) for 100 mins at a mix of 1:100 at 20C. Instead I found Tri-x.
I’d rated this roll at 400 ISO, developed for what I thought was pushed to 1600 and was presented with a moody, contrasty result that I am happy with – I’ll never get tired of the experiment that is shooting and developing B&W :)
